Aron Brodsky was born in Kremenchuk, Poltava, Ukraine on August 22, 1884. He was later known as Harry in America. Harry worked as a painter and interior decorator with his brothers. In 1906, he came to America on the SS Haverford from Liverpool to Philadelphia with his brothers Morris and William and Morris's wife and children. He was naturalized in Philadelphia on June 27, 1922. In America, Harry decorated theater interiors. He mostly lived in Philadelphia, though he lived in the Bronx for a while, where two of his children were born. Harry was described as fair-skinned, 5'4, 138 lbs, with brown hair and blue eyes.
Harry married Elizabeth Winokur in Philadelphia on January 1, 1908. She was known variously as Lizzie and Liza. Elizabeth was born in Kiev, Ukraine on April 9, 1889, the daughter of Morris Nathan Winokur and Baehle Conturick. Harry gave his mother's maiden name as Winokur in 1944, but I think he may have given his wife's maiden name by mistake, because Sarah's maiden name appeared as Goldberg on Fannie's marriage record and Sarah was present to sign that document.
Elizabeth came to America from Radomyshl, Ukraine with her father Morris and sister Rose, on the same ship that Harry did. They may well have met on the ship and had a shipboard romance; they married less than two years after they arrived in America. Elizabeth wrote home telling a friend of her marriage, and the friend wrote back very impressed with the great love between Harry and Elizabeth that she perceived in the letter. Harry and Elizabeth had four children.
Harry died on December 28, 1948 in Philadelphia of cerebral hemorrhage and was buried at Montefiore Cemetery in Jenkintown. Elizabeth died on August 5, 1960 in Haverford, Pennsylvania of a pulmonary embolism and was buried with Harry at Montefiore.

Nat also taught radio classes at the Franklin Institute. Later, he worked as an aerospace engineer for General Electric. They had two children.

Henry married Beatrice Pearlman in Philadelphia in 1943. Beatrice was born in Russia on June 28, 1913 and fled the Soviet revolution with her mother as a child. They did not have any children. Bea told me that Henry had very high blood pressure and a doctor recommended against having children. Later he developed Parkinson's Disease.
After the war, Henry taught Spanish at West Philadelphia High School from 1943 to 1948. Later, he worked for many years in the Marine Corps auditing department.
Henry died on April 29, 1975 at his home in Northeast Philadelphia and was buried at Montefiore Cemetery in Jenkintown. Beatrice survived him by almost 40 years but never remarried, and lived out her life in the same house that they bought at the time they married, visited frequently by nieces and nephews. She died on August 15, 2014 and was buried with Henry at Montefiore.
Beatrice Brodsky was born in New York City on April 8, 1913 with her twin brother Sam, but the family moved back to Philadelphia in a few years and she lived out her life there. She worked for a time as a saleslady in a department store.
She married Albert R Halbkram in Philadelphia in 1940. Albert was born in Philadelphia on April 19, 1901. One of Albert's brothers married a Mary Lederhandler, but it is not clear how or if Mary was related to Emanuel Lederhandler who married Beatrice's cousin, Yetta Brodsky. Albert worked as furniture salesman for the John Wanamaker department store. They had one child.
Albert died on May 1, 1985 and was buried in his family's plot at Montefiore Cemetery in Jenkintown. Beatrice died on February 4, 1994 and was buried with Albert at Montefiore.
